Joy Cole Corning was a founding member of 50-50 in 2020. She served on the board and gave generously of her time and talents until her death in May of 2017. Joy was a staunch believer in the bipartisan nature of the organization, and passionate about electing more women to public office at all levels. She wanted women candidates to have the tools to run a successful campaign. She also believed that women should raise most of the money to attend the Academy themselves.
Scholarships will be granted in either $100 or $150 amounts, depending on the number of requests. Applicants must plan to run in the 2018 election. Preference will go to first-time candidates.
